ROUND 1 SENIOR MAX
RACE REPORT

ROUND 1.1 – SATURDAY – 11 OCTOBER 2025
For the second season in succession there was a capacity grid in Seniors but the star of the show in qualifying was reigning Junior Rotax Champion Nathan Kappen who shocked the establishment with the fastest time.
Kappen continued to impress in the first of three heat races as he kept Georges Nassar and Mohammed Mneimneh at bay for the win although Mneimneh and Oscar Lambert turned the tables on Nathan in heat two as Kappen slipped to sixth.
Nassar took the final heat victory by a wide margin over Reaan Dharmadasa and Lambert to secure pole position for the final and after seeing off a few early challenges from Mneimneh in the main event Nassar simply drove away from the rest to win by a crushing eight seconds.

- Nathan Kappen (Mumbai Falcons)
- Zain El Hommossany (Matthias Njiem Motorsport)
ROUND 1.2 – SUNDAY – 12 OCTOBER 2025
The strength in depth of the Senior Rotax field was on full display in timed qualifying as Alessandro Bigi scored the first pole position of his career from Kappen, Mneimneh and Saturday winner Nassar. But when the heat races got underway it was Nassar again who struck first, winning heat one from Bigi and Jeremy Montgomery-Swan and repeating the feat in heat two, again with Bigi finishing second ahead of Mneimneh.
Heat three didn’t contain Nassar or Bigi which allowed Kappen to claim top spot from defending champion Omar Ghannoum and Montgomery-Swan although there was one more twist in the tail as the karts lined up for the final.
The weather.
What started as a sandstorm turned into a mid-race rain shower making an already treacherous track even harder to navigate. Nassar was understandably cautious as the race leader and after two laps this gave Montgomery-Swan the opportunity to pounce. Using experience gained racing in the UK earlier in the year JM-S passed Nassar on lap three and eased away to an emotional victory with Nassar settling for second and Andrea Remy fighting his way through to complete the podium.
- Jeremy Montgomery-Swan (JNKD)
- Georges Nassar (Matthias Njiem Motorsport)
- Andrea Remy (JNKD)
- Amani Kinyua (George Gibbons Motorsport)
- Zain El Hommossany (Matthias Njiem Motorsport)
