The team at YAS has really gone above and beyond to arrange this for you guys and girls so please use the testing time wisely.

Testing will take place from 4pm til 8pm on Thursday 27th February 2014.

Drivers will be permitted to set-up awnings, etc on Thursday 27th February 2014 within a specific time window which will be advised on shortly.

It is expressly forbidden by the venue for anyone to remain on site overnight.
The paddock area must be cleared before the curfew on Thursday night which will be advised shortly.

VEHICLES
The paddock is for team vehicles only including cars with trailers.  Regular cars must use the Yas Kart Zone parking area which is nearby.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
PLEASE READ THE BELOW BULLET POINTS WHICH ARE GOVERNED BY YAS MARINA CIRCUIT
Â·   Karts may not be driven in the paddock area or anywhere between the paddock, Pre-Grid and Parc Fermé.  In such areas all karts MUST be pushed on trolleys.  Anyone spotted driving their kart in these areas will be subject to penalties and possible expulsion from the facility.

·  Scooters, bikes, skateboards and other such items are not permitted to be used anywhere within the facility (including paddock) during the race day.  This is a strict rule that Yas Marina have asked us to advise you of.  It will be enforced accordingly.

KART SET-UP ADVICE
Below is a list of recommendations for gear ratios.  Some class gear ratios are fixed (Bambino, Micro MAX, DD2) and these details can be found in the Supplementary Regulations.

Mini MAX         13:72
Junior MAX      13:73
Senior MAX     13:75

Different tyre pressures were not tested but each of the D2 and D3 tyres were tested at 15psi (cold) and performed very well.  The condition of the circuit is such that lower tyre pressures should easily be achievable. C2 tyres should be adjusted according to the manufacturer’s  recommendations.
