ROUND 2 SENIOR MAX

RACE REPORT

Al Forsan International Sports Resort – Supported by Abu Dhabi Sports Council

The Senior MAX category once again lived up to its reputation as the most explosive class in the UAE RMC, with a capacity grid of 36 drivers delivering a full day of drama at Al Forsan International Sports Resort, proudly supported by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. After topping qualifying with a blistering lap, Georges Nassar looked set to recreate his Round 1 form, leading the early stages of both the Heat and the Pre-Final with the confidence of a driver in complete control.

But motorsport can be unforgiving, and the Final dealt Nassar a heartbreaking blow. While leading, a side protection pod detached from his kart, triggering an automatic technical flag. Despite his pace, the MNM frontrunner was forced to retire early — a devastating end to what had been a superb weekend until that moment.

With the race suddenly wide open, it was reigning DD2 champion Max Dexter who showed his class.  Once Nassar retired, the Teleios driver wrestled control of the race from Motorscape’s Eloi Gonzalez and Mumbai Falcon’s Oscar Lambert, securing his first Senior MAX victory of the year in emphatic style.

Behind Gonzalez P2 and Lambert P3, an impressive charge from Jagrat Detroja brought the Akcel GP team into fourth. Reaan Dharmadasa completed the top five after another consistent and composed showing for George Gibbons Motorsport.

It was a final that had everything — pace, heartbreak, and the rise of a new Senior MAX contender.
